Desperation - The Birth of Brilliance

When there is no more time to search for answers and the losses before us are simply impossible to accept, it is human nature to feel desperate. There is nothing we will not try; everything is on the table for consideration as a solution because the losses are more than we imagine we can endure. It is here that we find true brilliance in ourselves. Only then do we sweep aside the barriers of what we believe will succeed and clear the field of obstacles to our success; we open our minds to our highest consciousness. And there, almost instantly before us, is a solution that can only be described as brilliant! Was it really hidden, awaiting some humble submission from us to arrive as a miracle?

This higher level of consciousness is always available to us, always benevolent and always inspiring us to make the right choice, especially when we believe the situation is desperate. The difference is that this level of consciousness never, ever feels desperate. It is all-seeing, all-knowing and filled with confidence about the outcome that is possible.

We have been trained from childhood to use our brain when we seek solutions to everything from arithmetic problems to finding a life partner. But it is limited in the answers it can provide; limited by what has been introduced to it as factual and available as a right solution. It is also not always the best place to draw from when we are looking for answers to things we have not encountered in life. Our higher self has no limitations; everything the universe offers is available for it to identify as the right choice for us to make, ensuring our success.

Feeling desperate translates to feeling helpless, an unacceptable admission for most of us. It is the basis of why we continue trying to solve an issue over and over with results that are less than satisfying. We refuse to acknowledge that a solution is beyond us because we cannot accept the outcome if we fail to find one. The solution arrives when we let go of what we believe is possible and allow something much bigger than our brain to deliver an answer to us. It frequently arrives as a choice we are forced to make, one we thought would be painful, that suddenly arrives with an option we can see that had not been considered!

"Brilliant," our friends will say! "Where did you ever come up with such an idea?" It was there, just waiting for us to finally throw in the towel and acknowledge that we don't have an acceptable alternative and must find a solution. We have stepped away from using brain power and tapped into our real power that has no limitations.

Our challenge in life is to recognize, early in the game, when using our brain will not bring the desired result. We can turn much quicker to the place where all the answers lay waiting on us to simply ask for what we need. Humanity will make tremendous strides forward in every part of our lives when we can set aside the idea that everything we know and can use is available by using only our brain. It is the most powerful 'power' tool in our tool box for life. But the greatest power we can use is our higher power; it is quite simply the hand we have always held without ever being aware that we were companions throughout our life journey. Accepting this and enjoying the relationship on a daily basis empowers us to be everything we imagined we could become, and much more if we are open to changes!

Brilliance is an attribute that belongs to everyone; it surfaces for those who gave up and reached out in faith to the hand of their higher self. Knowing you are always holding this hand enriches your life beyond your wildest dreams; and brilliant soon becomes a word describing who you are in life.
